Aerolíneas Argentinas unveiled the aircraft pictured below that will transport the Argentine national team players to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The aircraft features a special design inspired by the Argentine driver, celebrating world titles and national pride.

State airline Aerolíneas Argentinas unveiled on Friday the plane that will take the Argentine national football team to the 2026 World Cup, with a design that incorporates the number 10 jersey of the team’s captain and star player, Lionel Messi.  The aircraft, presented this Friday in hangar 5 of the Ezeiza international airport, is, according to the airline, the “most Argentine plane in the world”. The aircraft was prepared with a special commemorative design inspired by the Argentine national football team and its captain, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.  The tail of the plane features an intervention that incorporates the number 10 and the official design of the Argentine jersey developed by Adidas.

According to a statement from Aerolíneas Argentinas, the design is “a symbolic representation of the leadership and management of the team on the field of play, associated with the rudder that guides the aircraft’s course.”  The design also includes the captain’s armband applied over the engines and the three stars that pay tribute to the world titles won by Argentina, the last of them in Qatar 2022.  “It’s a purely Argentinian plane, giving great importance to the number 10. We are very proud as a company to have been able to carry out this work and transport the Argentinian national team to bring the fourth World Cup home,” Pablo Da Grava, shift supervisor of the maintenance area of Aerolíneas hangar 5, told news media.

The design work on the aircraft was carried out over four days in the workshops of Aerolíneas Argentinas.  During the World Cup, the company will have special flights to Kansas City and Dallas, cities in the United States where Argentina will play the matches corresponding to the group stage of the tournament.  The airline will also strengthen its operations to Miami with daily flights from Buenos Aires, including daytime and nighttime frequencies.  The company anticipated that the ‘most Argentine plane in the world’ will later be used on the company’s international routes, carrying the Argentine colors and the World Cup spirit to different destinations in America and Europe.
