Panama Footballer Adalberto Carrasquilla Breaks his Silence after his Injury

The midfielder thanked Panama for their support after his injury in the Liga MX final and assured that he will work to arrive in optimal condition for the 2026 World Cup.

Panamanian Adalberto Carrasquilla sent a message of gratitude to the country after the injury he suffered last Sunday in the second leg of the Liga MX Clausura Tournament final, in which Pumas UNAM lost 1-2 to Cruz Azul.  The midfielder, considered one of the key players for the Panamanian national football team, used his social media to express his gratitude for the support he received, amidst uncertainty about his physical condition just weeks before the 2026 World Cup.

“First and foremost, I am grateful to God for giving me strength at all times. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who has been looking out for me. And thank you to all of Panama for so much support and affection,” Carrasquilla said in his message.
