Pathways to Prosperity

THE ASSISTANT U,S, Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta S. Jacobson , is in Panama City to participate in the sixth ministerial meeting of Pathways to Prosperity in the Americas.

Senior government officials , policy makers , business leaders and representatives of international organizations of the Americas will share best practices and seek new opportunities to promote inclusive economic growth and prosperity in the hemisphere.

The contributors include Pathways to Prosperity 15 governments and societies of the Western Hemisphere that collectively seek to empower small businesses, facilitate trade and regional competitiveness , build a modern and inclusive workforce , and promoting green and sustainable business practices .
Currently participating countries include Belize, Canada , Chile , Colombia , Costa Rica , Dominican Republic , El Salvador , Guatemala , Honduras , Mexico , Nicaragua , Panama , Peru , Uruguay and the United States. The Inter-American Development Bank , the Organization of American States, and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean are strategic partners of Pathways to Prosperity .
The ministerial meeting of Pathways to Prosperity will be followed , by the VII Forum of the Americas Competitiveness , sponsored by President Ricardo Martinelli
