Panama vigilant to new covid strain

 

Panama remains vigilant of what is happening in Europe, with the new strain of COVID19 and a team from the Ministry of Health is in South Africa said Health  Minister Luis Francisco Sucre on Friday when, the nations of the European Union have announced measures to avoid air travel from southern Africa, in order to counteract the entry of the new variant to these countries.

Sucre indicated that this Thursday, he held a meeting with the director of Public Health, Melva Cruz, regarding the issue and they should be meeting to carry out a follow-up analysis regarding what has been happening with the new strain.

“Then we are going to raise a work proposal, which we will be making in the coming days, talk and discuss it with the Advisory Council, and finally present it to the president, to know what our handling as a country will be in the face of this new strain Sucre warned.
