More Than 2000 Bales of Contraband Cigarettes Were Destroyed in Panama by Customs.
The National Customs Authority destroyed 2,146 bales of contraband cigarettes, in compliance with the legal procedures established for the disposal of illicit merchandise. As part of the operation, the institution’s inspectors proceeded with the removal of two containers for the subsequent transfer and crushing of the seized products. The organization reiterated that illicit trade affects the formal economy, impacts job creation, and poses a risk to public health.
