Panamanian Jennisín Rosanía Climbs to the Top of the IBJJF Overall World Ranking.

Panama: The athlete from Colon, Jennisín Rosania, makes history again in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by being recognized as number 1 in the world ranking of her category Overall (all weights), black belt, with Gi , of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), a distinction that she achieves for the second time in her career.  Rosania had already conquered first place during the 2023-2024 season, and now she returns to the top of the world after completing an exceptional season. 

Rosania competes in the Light category, but her results allowed her to finish as number 1 in the Overall among athletes of all weights in her category.  The award was presented during the IBJJF’s tribute to the season’s top-ranked athletes. The plaque was presented by Carlos Gracie Jr., founder and president of the IBJJF, the most prestigious and recognized federation in the world for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Rosania thus becomes the first and only Panamanian athlete to have reached number 1 in the IBJJF world ranking in her Overall category (all weights), black belt, with Gi, and now she achieves it for the second time.

A Perfect Season.

This recognition comes after an extraordinary season, in which Rosania won the main international titles on her competitive calendar. These are:

• IBJJF World Championship 2025.
• IBJJF European Championship.
• IBJJF Pan Championship.
• IBJJF Masters International North America.
• IBJJF Orlando Open.
• IBJJF New Year Open.
• IBJJF Chicago Open.

One of the highlights of her campaign was that she did not receive any points or advantage against her throughout the entire season, closing the cycle competitively undefeated.  The athlete began practicing jiu-jitsu in January 2011 and has since built an international career that includes multiple world, European, and Pan American championships and titles in high-level IBJJF competitions.
