The City of the Future: Panama Metro Line 3 Begins Testing

The Panama Metro announced the first test run of the monorail corresponding to Line 3, on a section that goes from Patio y Talleres to Ciudad del Futuro, in the province of Panama Oeste. This test represents a new milestone in the development of this important mass transit project, which seeks to improve mobility and reduce travel times for thousands of users. According to the entity, the first test run took place on the afternoon of Monday, April 13, as part of the technical and operational progress of the project. The test is part of the initial system verification stages, necessary before its future commissioning.

The Panama Metro highlighted that this advancement reflects progress towards a modern, safe and efficient infrastructure, designed to offer a reliable service to the population. Line 3, which will connect Panama City with sectors of West Panama, is considered one of the most important works in terms of urban mobility in the country, due to population growth and the high demand for transport in that area.
