Panama Pacific Port: More than 40 Packages of Suspected Illicit Substances were Seized

No arrests have been made in connection with this international drug trafficking case. According to preliminary investigations by authorities, the cargo originated in Chile, was transshipped in Panama, and was destined for Australia.

The National Anti-Drug Directorate (DNAD), in coordination with the Public Ministry and the Anti-Drug Tactics and Operations Unit (UTOA), seized a shipment of suspected illicit substances at a port on the Pacific coast.  It was reported that during an inspection of a container, authorities found a total of 44 rectangular packages containing a substance believed to be illicit.  According to preliminary investigations, the cargo originated in Chile, was transshipped in Panama, and was destined for Australia.   At this time, no one has been arrested in connection with this international drug trafficking case.
