Martinelli has a right to rest – Minister

Minister of Economy and Finance, Frank De Lima, was first up on  TV on Monday September 27 to defend President Ricardo Martinelli’s surprise visit to the  Monaco Grand Prix

De Lima said the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is free time for the President who "has the same right to rest as any Panamanian".

The minister said Martinelli apparently used his trip to Europe to take a few days off for "activities". De Lima reminded said that Monday. May 27 was the start time for Martinelli’s official tour in Europe.
 The tour includes the Netherlands, Belgium and finishes in France, he said on TVN Noticias.
Martinelli was in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where he witnessed the triumph of German Nico Rosberg in the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix
The president, who did not announce that he would travel to the European principality, was caught by television cameras and international agencies with Prince Albert of Monaco. The presidency did not say whether Martinelli’s trip was an official mission.
The leader of the opposition Democratic Revolutionary Party, Balbina Herrera, said pn Telemetro reports.that Martinelli had to report the trip.
