Metro contract signed but no cost details

THE CONTRACT, for a 2,3 kilometer extension of Panama’s yet to be opened Metro railway,has been signed but no details of the cost have been released.

The extension will run from from Los Andes to San Isidro, says the Minister for Canal Affairs and Executive Secretary of the Panama Metro, Roberto Roy.

He said that the cost of the extension will not be revealed until the verification process with the Comptroller General has been completed
Mwanwhile work is underway g on digging the holes for the piles and vacating the easement areas, and in the next few days they will begin the construction of the extension of Line One.

Roy said that the the progress of the work on the Line is 93% complete and they are in the verification phase of the electronic system of the trains and rails", reported Prensa.com.
