Feted in Panama, Berlusconi friend arrested with 24kilos of cocaine

PANAMA’S Italian connections keepfallinfby the wayside, from former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, to the head of Finamecanica, the conglomerate enmired in a bribery scandal, to their point man in Panama Valter Lavitola.

All are facing disgrace and potential jail terms.

The latest to join the rogues gallery is Federica Gagliardi, a stunning blonde who was feted in Panama after arriving with Berlusconi from the 2010 Group of eight meeting in Toronto, Canada.
The "White Lady" as she is called in Italy, was arrested at an Italian airport on Thursday March13 with 24 kilos of cocaine in her luggage.
The friend of Berlusconi was returning from a trip through South America.
In Panama, the then 28-year-old received white glove treatment in Panama, meeting with Cabinet members and touring the Panama Canal expansion.
