Panama marks anniversary of US invasion
A PROPOSAL to make December 20 a Day of National Mourning, marking the American military invasion of Panama is being considered by a special commission said Vice President Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado when participating in events on Sunday to mark the 26th anniversary of the US military invasion of Panama.

The religious invocation was given by Uriah Ashley, auxiliary bishop of Panama.
On Friday, December 18, President Juan Carlos Varela signed an executive order declaring Dec. 20 a National Day of Reflection and ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff.
