After months of preparation, rehearsals, challenges and experiences, everything is underway for the Grand Final of Miss Universe Panama 2026, bringing together the 27 candidates at the Roberto Durán Arena. Saturday night marked the end of a journey that began several months ago and was accompanied by preparation, learning, and moments that will remain as part of the history of this edition of the competition.
The grand finale of Miss Universe Panama 2026 is here and several candidates were already beginning to stand out for the recognition they have received on their journey to the crown. Although these awards do not determine who will be the winner, they do allow us to know which participants have excelled in areas such as connecting with their peers, personal care, photography, and their presence on digital platforms. Among the candidates who have received recognition prior to the grand final are representatives from North Panama, Colon, Western Chiriqui and Bocas del Toro.
Miss Panama North Receives the Miss Friendship Award.
Friendship has its queen! One of the awards given was to Miss Panama North, who was chosen by her own classmates as Miss Friendship. In a night filled with companionship, togetherness, and unforgettable moments, Miss Panama North was chosen by her peers as Miss Friendship. Purpose has its queen, too! Miss Taboga was honored with the Social Impact Award, highlighting her commitment, purpose, and dedication to making a positive difference beyond the stage. A special recognition celebrating the power of using a platform to inspire, serve, and transform lives. Congratulations, Miss Taboga!
Miss Colón stands out for her skin care. Miss Colón received the Best Skin award, presented by Dr. Glynnies Reyes and CDI Panama, in recognition of her skin’s health, beauty, and the care she takes of it. The award took into account the care, health and appearance of their skin, as part of the participants’ comprehensive preparation. Skin that reflects care and dedication! Miss Chiriquí West conquers photography. The representative from Chiriquí Occidente was chosen as Miss Photogenic, an award given by Douglas Díaz, official photographer of Miss Universe Panama. This award highlights her performance in front of the camera, projection, presence and ability to communicate through every images. An image that captivated! Congratulations, Miss Chiriquí Occidente!
The “Connection” has its queen, too! Miss Bocas del Toro was named Digital Ambassador, standing out for her presence, connection, and projection across digital platforms. A special recognition for a candidate who has successfully connected with the audience and taken her essence beyond the stage. This distinction highlights her presence and connection with the public via digital platforms, as well as the way she has projected her personality beyond the stage. Miss Bocas del Toro stands out on social media. In a competition where social media plays an increasingly prominent role, this recognition serves as another indicator of a candidate’s connection with the audience. Photogenic appeal is one of the elements that tends to draw attention during beauty pageants, particularly in a competition where image and visual communication play a significant role. Are they the favorites to win Miss Universe Panama 2026? The awards received help identify some of the candidates who have managed to stand out in various aspects of the pageant. However, special awards do not determine who will win the crown. The final decision will depend on the evaluation of the candidates during the different stages of the competition and the criteria established by the organization. Anticipation will build during the Miss Universe Panama 2026 grand final, when the new representative for Panama at the international pageant is revealed.
