Panama President Mulino Presents a Management Report and New Programs but Avoids Making any Pronouncements about the Future of the Mine

Following the election of Shirley Castañedas, President Mulino presents his report to the nation. The president delivered a largely predictable and unsurprising speech during his address to the nation, reiterating previously known themes from his administration and announcements that had been made public before.

Seated next to his fellow party member Shirley Castañedas, the new president of the National Assembly, President José Raúl Mulino delivered his fourth report to the nation, as he completes two years of his term, that is, 40% of his administration.  The announcement came on Wednesday, July 1, shortly after the legislature elected its new board of directors for the 2026-2027 period, chaired by Representative Castañedas. This is a continuing story so check back later for more details.
