Alleged Leader of the Bagdad Santa Eduviges Gang Juan Carlos Valencia is Captured in Spain
The Public Ministry and the National Police arrested several members of the Bagdad Santa Eduviges gang in Panama.
The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes of Illicit Association had Juan Carlos Valencia under investigation as the alleged leader of the Bagdad Santa Eduviges gang that operates in East Panama. An alert managed through Interpol led to the capture in Spain of Juan Carlos Valencia Escobar, alleged leader of the Bagdad Santa Eduviges gang, which operates in the Panama East sector. Following the capture of Valencia Escobar, Panamanian authorities will begin the process for his extradition, subsequent indictment, and application of precautionary measures.
