Drivers of selective and collective transport passed through the filter of the Transit and Land Transport Authority (ATTT) during an operation carried out in the Los Andes Shopping Center, in the district of San Miguelito. The day’s activities aimed to verify that vehicles were operating legally and that drivers were complying with the rules established in the Traffic Regulations.

The inspectors checked documents, mechanical condition and general condition of the vehicles. During the operation, several irregularities were detected, resulting in fines and the towing of vehicles. The inspection also included the confiscation of unauthorized LED light bars used on some vehicles. The operation resulted in 21 tickets issued for various violations.

Among the most common infractions were drivers operating vehicles without valid insurance, drivers without a license, bald tires, and cases of disrespect towards traffic authorities. In addition, two vehicles were towed due to violations detected during the inspection. The ATTT reiterated that these types of operations will continue in different parts of the country to reinforce road safety and reduce risks on the streets.
