Doralis Mela Breaks Down on Social Media and Launches a Harsh Critique of Musicians

Doralis Mela used her social media to complain that no one wanted to help her tune a violin that she wants to give to her great-uncle in the countryside. The singer asked for help tuning a violin she wants to give to her great-uncle, but claims she was ignored by several colleagues.

Traditional music singer Doralis Mela couldn’t hold back her tears and posted a video on social media where she expressed her sadness, anger, and disappointment  at the lack of support she has received.  She explained that she has been asking for a simple favor for several days: to have a violin tuned so she can take it as a gift to her great-uncle in the countryside, along with photos and other family presents. However, she says no one has been willing to help her.

Can you believe that I’ve been asking several musicians for a favor for days and no one has bothered to help me?” she said through tears.  The artist from the group ‘Los Grades Ligas del Pindín’ stressed that it is not something complicated, but a minimal gesture that, according to her, costs them nothing“.  In her outburst, she also made clear her displeasure with colleagues who, she claims, only seek her out when they need support. When they need something, they jump at Doralis’s door, but I need you all too,” she expressed.

The singer insisted that she was even willing to pay for the service, but lamented the lack of willingness. I’ll pay you, I don’t care, but tune my violin. It’s for my old man who’s in the countryside waiting for it,” she added, revealing the emotional weight behind the request.  After the video was posted, comments poured in. One of those who reacted was the musician Chichito Ramos, who offered to help her, but with one condition: that the instrument be transported from Ocú to Arraiján.

In response, Doralis said, He’s in Ocú; if you know anyone who can go to my dad’s, I’ll pay for it,” while sending a strong message to those who ignored her request: To those I asked for the favor, go to hell.”  Chichito’s gesture brought a glimmer of hope amidst the difficult time, and now it remains to be seen whether the violin will reach its destination to fulfill the artist’s wish: to bring a meaningful gift to her relative in the countryside.
