Seven Arrested as Part of Operation Odin Striking at Micro-Trafficking in Chiriquí

Joint action between the National Police, SENAFRONT and DNAD allowed the dismantling of alleged micro-trafficking activities in Pedregal, district of David.

A total of seven people were apprehended during the development of the so-called Operation Odin, carried out in the corregimiento of Pedregal, district of David, province of Chiriquí, as part of the strategic actions against drug trafficking and organized crime.  The operation was carried out by units of the National Police in coordination with the National Border Service (SENAFRONT) and the National Anti-Drug Directorate (DNAD), under the direction of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Drug-Related Crimes of Chiriquí.  During the operation, authorities seized a sedan, along with 16 bags of suspected marijuana, each weighing approximately one pound. 


They also confiscated multiple small bags containing suspected cocaine, four pills believed to be illicit substances, and various electronic devices.  According to official reports, this intervention directly impacts criminal structures operating in different parts of the province, dedicated to micro-trafficking and other illegal activities.  Authorities emphasized that these types of operations are part of a sustained strategy to weaken criminal networks in the region. They also reiterated their commitment to public safety and peaceful coexistence, while thanking the public for their cooperation in providing key information.
