Panamanian Karla Navas Repeats Pan American Gold Medal and Makes History at Home

Panamanian Karla Navas once again placed atop the podium by winning the gold medal in the vault final of the Panama 2025 Adult Pan American Artistic Gymnastics Championship. Panamanian Karla Navas once again placed atop the podium by winning the gold medal in the vault final of the Panama 2025 Adult Pan American Artistic Gymnastics Championship, held at the Amador Convention Center. Navas executed two impeccable jumps, with great difficulty and precision, which gave her a score of 14.334, enough to surpass the Canadian Lía Fontaine (silver) and the American Jayla Hang (bronze).

With this performance, she retains the continental title she had previously won at Santa Marta 2024, where she was champion with 13.867 points. She also continues to consolidate her dominance on this apparatus, where she also won gold at the 2024 Doha World Cup, defeating gymnasts from countries such as North Korea and Bulgaria. The Panamanian women’s team, composed of Navas, Hillary Heron, Alyiah Lide, Ana Gabriela Gutiérrez, Tatiana Tapia, and Lana Herrera, finished fifth in the team competition held Saturday.
