Famed singer denies news of his death
After international media announced the death of the renowned Spanish singer-songwriter José Luis Perales due to a myocardial infarction, the singer posted a video on his social networks stating that he was in London enjoying a few days of vacation with his wife and children.

Social media was flooded with condolences and fans came together to remember his award-winning career.
Meanwhile, Perales was in a restaurant in the city of London when an avalanche of messages began to flood his cell phone and that of his family with “fake news”.
“A very strong hug and thanks to those who have tried to find out if this thing was true. We are very glad it’s over,” he indicated in a video recorded in the streets of London.
Perales is considered one of the most prolific and successful authors on the romantic scene, selling more than 55 million records worldwide. His song “Why do you go” popularized by Jeanette, has been covered by more than 40 artists in France, Germany, England, Japan, until 2004. This song alone sold more than 6 million copies in West Germany and Austria.
Throughout his prolific career that spans more than 45 years, Perales has published 27 musical productions and recorded more than 500 songs. His biggest debut was with the 1973 album “My Songs”, for which he received more than 100 gold and platinum records
The last time that José Luis Perales was in Panama February 27, 2020, with his tour “Ballads for a Farewell” performed at the Anayansi Theater.
