Christmas shopping good for the economy  and criminals

With the arrival of the holidays, the delivery of Christmas savings, and bonuses reactivates not only commercial activity but also criminals who will seek the opportunity to deprive victims of their belongings.

For this reason, the National Police redoubles its foot force in the streets and avenues to provide security to people, but they reiterate that the first security ring is oneself, for which they ask the population to be attentive to what happens around them and not count money in public.

Omar Pinto, the deputy commissioner of the National Police, assured that they are organizing and preparing with 28,000 agents of the public forces to provide attention at major events and different activities that will take place after the delivery of Christmas savings.

He stressed that the crimes of robbery and theft increase in this last month of the year, so they recommend people to go accompanied by a trusted person to the banks, observe the environment to avoid being a victim of markers, place the money in a safe place and place the wallet place the front part of the body.

The most frequent crimes on these dates are robberies, thefts, and ‘cancherismo’, where criminals take advantage of the innocence of people to achieve their mission.
