Health Ministry investigating Corpus Christi  lockdown celebration,

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) launched an investigation to find those responsible for a Corpus Christi celebration in in La Villa de Los Santos, during  total lockdown widely reported through social networks.

Ayvar Hernández, regional health director of Los Santos, said that videos show that some people did not comply with the use of masks as well as avoiding crowds, due to the national coronavirus emergency due to the coronavirus.

“Legal authorities are investigating the evidence of the disclosed videos,” said Hernández. Sanctions would be applied to the owner of the residence where “the sanitary offenses were committed.”

Organizers of a wedding party in Paitilla during the first weekend of lockdown were hit with a $100,000 fine.
