492 men arrested for “women’s day” shopping

A total of 492 men were arrested on “women’s day”  the first day of the new quarantine rules that mandate limited shopping hours for women and men on alternate days, and for neither on Sunday.

Women can go shopping on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while men can to go outside on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The departure time is conditioned by the last number of the ID or passport.

Authorities also detained 58 women for failing to comply with the departure time also detained 39 minors.

To date, in Panama, there have been 1,317 positive cases of coronavirus, 32 deaths, 63 people in the Intensive Care Unit and 9 recovered.
