Taxi death, brings highway toll to 24
A 48-year-old taxi driver whose car ended up embedded in the back of a transport truck on Thursday night. Jan.25, became the 24th highway fatality of 2018, and the second taxi operator to die in a crash during the week.
The latest accident was on the Pan-American Highway in the Union de Azuero community in the Chepo district. The earlier incident was in Veraguas, and the driver was killed in a head-on collision
