Water pistol bandits pave streets with cash
NINE OF THE BANDITS who robbed a Banco General branch in Villa Lucre at water-gun point and got away with $38,000 have been caught and over $18,000 has been recovered.
The Public Ministry reported that seven adults and two minors were charged with the theft.
“The Banco General reported that the sum of $38, 775 was stolen of which $18,418 has been recovered” said a National, Police statement.”
According to the account of the authorities, the morning of Monday, June 13, four minors and two adults went to the back of the bank in a stolen Toyota Yaris. Then two minors went to the ATMs area while other adults entered the bank.
