CD Call center suspects lose immunity
THE IMMUNITY shield has been lifted from two Democratic Change (CD) members accused of using public funds to finance a call center for the CD party.
Luis Eduardo Camacho González and María Cristina González are both seeking election in the next CD elections scheduled for March 2016
The Electoral Tribunal suspended their immunity on Thursday November 12.
Camacho González, was former deputy minister of Trade, and Gonzalez, the former Immigration director. The investigation was initiated in September of 2014 by the second anti-corruption prosecutor.
Camacho González is required to check in with prosecutors three times a week and cannot leave the country.
