Celebrating with pride and style

JERUSALEN SMITH the recently graduated Guna doctor was the proud standard bearer of Panama’s national flag on Tuesday, November 3, as she led the parade marking 112 years of Panama’s separation from Colombia.
She was followed by school bands ,security units majorettes, para-olympic athletes dancers in national costume, indigenous groups, and independent bands.
They marched from Plaza Bolivar to Avenida Balboa.
If you missed the first parade, another will start at 8 am Wednesday from near Multi-Centro and march past the Miramar Intercontinental to the MOP office on The Cinta Costera.
