Oh rats! C&W mobile service hacked

TEXTERS AND CHATTERS in Herrera and  Los Santos  provinces were silenced  for a few hours on Friday September 25 when  a rodent  “hacked”  a Cable  and Wireless  (CWP)  optical fiber.

The hacker bit into the line in the stretch of road  between  Aguadulce and  Chitre says a company press release.

The damage affected the services of 2G and 3G mobile network.Data was interrupted and for a while life on the highways became less dangerous Late afternoon the company reported that technical staff had completed restoration of the services.
