$20,000 reward for hit and run driver
A $20,000 REWARD has been offered by The National Police for information on the whereabouts of Henry Edwin Jaén Cherigo, 27, who is being sought in connection with the death of Panama cyclist Mónica Licona on Balboa Avenue on Sunday September 23.
Jaén Cherigo rented the car, a white Kia sedan, that hit the 22 year old champion cyclist as she was riding near the Miramar hotel shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday.
The car was found abandoned about an hour later on Avenida Mexico with damage to the front end and a broken windshield.
Bikers, friends and family of Licona on, Tuesday, placed a white bicycle in front of the Mi amar Intercontinental Hotel near where the athlete was struck to remember the danger that exists on Panama’s streets
