Canada election celebration open to all
By Margot Thomas
CANADIAN’S and political buffs, plus anyone seeking an excuse for a night out in good company will be welcome at the Blarney Stone Irish pub to witness the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) coverage of results on Canadian election night, Monday October 19,
With the three major political parties in an election to close to call and the possibility that the United States could see a left of center party ruling in the country north of the longest unprotected border in the world, the outcome could prove interesting, even to wall building advocate Donald Trump.
Politicians of all breeds are believed to have kissed the original Blarney Stone, or sent a proxy to give them the silver tongue needed to persuade voters that there’s a glimmer of truth in their promises.
To help supporters of the winning party celebrate, and for losers to ease their pain, host Alan O’ Çonnell will be extending the regular two-for one- happy hour(domestic beers) until closing time and will add poutine (a Canadian cheese gravy and French fries specialty) and a Canada burger to the regular menu which includes Scotch eggs, Shepherd’s Pie, Bangers and Mash Fish and Chipsand other traditional pub foods in an authentic ambience.
Sounds like a win-win for everyone attending
