NEW LOOK NEWSROOM to mark 6 years of free service

On Sunday afternoon we will be offline for a few hours, and when we return you will have access to a new look, making it easier for you to access the main news stories, features, travel and whatever takes your fancy. We will also have a new sports section, and we will be working on upgrading Coming Events and enhancing “Food and Drink” coverage

The changeover comes as newsroom is within days of it sixth anniversary, publishing  7 days a week, 365 days a year since 2009

The near 10,000 stories and features published since 20096 are all still available through the search box and the FREE daily download of healines  to your computer or mobile will be carried over.Over 1,200 readers are already subscribed toreceiving the key headlines each morning, and for many it’s a “must” to start the day. They are posted at 3 a.m.
