Classes resume at riot troubled school

ALL CLASSES at the National Institute will resume on Monday July 27 says the Ministry of Education.
Classes were suspended on July 7, after a riot at the school which sent one teacher and two students to hospital with burns received from Molotov cocktails. Some classes had been reopened on July 22.

The Ministry said the José Daniel Crespo School in Chitré and, Pedro Pablo Sanchez School in La Chorrera will also open. Teachers were planning a strike demanding repairs to the aging buildings
Classes will also re-open at IPT in San Miguelito The school was closed July 17 for cleaning after a fire in the cafeteria.
