Dengue alert as cases reach 800
THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH (MoH) has issued a Dengue alert calling for the to the “active participation” of the population and institutions, to curb the dengue outbreak by cleaning litter and sites holding water to curb the proliferation of the mosquito Aedes aegypti.
The MoH Director of Health, Itza Barahona de Mosca, said that the country has reported 800 cases of dengue with 150 recorded in Las Garzas de Pacora alone. There has been one death.
