$28 million to solve Panama City water leaks.
Is an end to street flooding in Panama in sight? $28 million says it might be.
Panama’s water and sewage authority (IDAAN) is launch a tender for the provision of a system to reduce water leakage in the Panamanian capital.
Director Abdiel Cano, director of the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewage Systems said that
together with the National Council for Sustainable Development $28 million will be earmarked "for this project which includes the installation of 38 control points with regulators and pressure gauges and water flow, which will operate 24 hours a day."
"… These control points will lower the water pressure when it detects that it is high in an area, and in this way prevent pipes from breaking." Reports CentralAmericaData
