Fumigation blitz as another dengue death confirmed

MINISTRY OF HEALTH officials moved house to house on a fumigation mission in El Llano and La Nícora on Saturday, January 18,  following the seventh recorded death due to the death due to dengue in Panama.

Two other deaths. Believed due to dengue during the current epidemic are still being investigated

Health officials also met with residents to educate them about eliminating breeding sites of the mosquitoes that transmit the disease.
The activities were organized by Chepo Regional Health Director Juan Rodríguez.
He said that the operation will continue on a house to house basis and urged the community to cooperate with efforts of the Ministry.
