Panama voter register up 11.1 percent

THE NUMBER of eligible voters for the 2014 election has jumped 11.1 percent since 2009 says the Electoral Tribunal (TE) The final version of the electoral role is 2,457,401 voters.

There are 6,330 candidates running for office, and there will be 2,700 polling stations.

In 2009 there were 2,211,261 eligible voters, 5,613 candidates and 2,381 polling stations,
