New cultural center for Panama, and its free.
PANAMA gained a new, no-charge attraction, Saturday October 19, with the opening of the Cultural Center of Spain, by Prince Felipe de Borbón.
The center, located in Casco Viejo in the Casa del Soldado de la Independencia, will initially include two exhibitions: the work of Spanish artist Antón Lazamares and the 8th Edition of the Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism. It will be open to the public free of charge
The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor Roxana Méndez and Minister of Education Lucy Molinar, along with Panamanian business leaders and national and international media.
Prince Felipe is in the country as part of the Ibero-American Summit.
On Sunday he is scheduled to in the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the Pacific Ocean and open the 6th International Congress of the Spanish Language at the Atlapa Convention Center.
