Ex Judge entering presidential race says independent has chance to win
AN INDEPENDENT candidate has a chance to win the upcoming presidential election said ex-Electoral Tribunal judge Gerardo Solis on Panama Radio on Wednesday, June 5.
Solis, who had earlier formalized his candidacy as a candidate before the Electoral Tribunal, said the independent presidential candidacy will serve to motivate other people to take the chance to compete for other positions, such as mayor or representative.
He said he is convinced that with these nominations the country will benefit and raise the political debate.
He also said he was sure the Panamanians believe in voting for the renewal of the ruling parties in each election.
Solis, on the other hand, said he does not believe that there is a wiretap against him because it would already have been circulated.
He also stressed that we must restore the faith and trust the democratic institutions of this country.
During the program, Solis did not reveal who would be his vice president, but said he would like it to be a woman.
The exmagistrado was the first guest on a new Sin Rodeos program, which will air every Wednesday on Panama Radio and on Prensa.com at 6:30 pm.
