Election campaign of misconduct and violence forecast

A POLITICAL campaign immersed in 'misconduct and violence' has been forecast by a former leader of the Civil Crusade that stood up against General Noriega.

Recent wiretapping of PRD leaders have raised warning voices in civil society  says La Estrella. 

“This new scandal is gaining strength, because it speaks of more recordings to come”
Given this bleak picture, Aurelio Barria, of the former Civil Crusade, predicts a violent campaign. From the point of view of the rule of law, the wiretapping violates the right to privacy.

The lawyer argues that this situation should encourage 'all serious people' to decide to take political action.
Despite the concerns raised within civil society, the PRD believes it will gain political power in 2014. And promise that they will , present complaints before national and international courts two recordings in which leaders have been victimized.
