Energy restrictions off but watch your air conditioner

ENERGY-SAVING measures that were put in place several weeks ago ave been lifted but citizens are asked to be prudent with their air conditioning.

The decision came on Thursday, May 23 in a resolution issued by the public services authority (ASEP).

However, the government urged the country to "continue implementing energy saving measures which not only benefits the nation and the environment, but their own homes."
The agency asked people not to set their air conditioners lower than 24 degrees Celsius or 75.2 degrees Fahrenheit, which would result in substantial savings.
