Valentines Day jobs massacre in Chame

CHAME MAYOR Euclides Mayorga continues his rollercoaster term in office by firing his Municipal Treasurer.
Sergio Morales.  He wielded the axe on Valentine’s day and said that, he will request the resignation of four others  working in the department.

Mayorga, said he will submit a new candidate for the post of treasurer to the Municipal Council next week. He did not give a reason for the dismissal.
Less than two weeks ago Mayorga, facing a three year jail sentence, was removed from office by Governor Mayin Correa, but reinstated 24 hour later after a court hearing. During the 24 hours, his replacement, a CD Party stalwart, initiated an audit of the council's books.
