TALKING POINT: Goodbye to the thong?

You don’t need 20-20 vision to know that “thong” users are alive and well in Panama, but maybe that’s because  they are  behind the eight ball in fashion trends.

According to statistics from two British chain stores, Peacocks and  M&S (Marks and Spencers) Brazilian and French panties are out-selling the thong. And about time too says Daily Mail columnist Jan Moir. She says the thong is"about as sexy as a cheese wire cutting through 4lb of Stilton", and concludes with  describing  the  item featured daily on the back page of one Panamanian tabloid  as "the most hideous instrument of everyday torture since the chastity belt".
