Double benefit offer for English speakers at gourmet celebration

The Social Scene with

There are only three days left to take advantage of  two bonus opportunities with the CanadaPLUS Club, open to ALL who speak English, or even those aspiring to.

Those of all nationalities, resident or visiting, who register by January 30, will receive a lifetime membership of the club,for the same price as the regular annual fee which includes discounts and special complimentary offers from multiple businesses, including restaurants. In addition they will qualify for the discounted price for members at the upcoming Chinese New Year (Year of the Rabbit) celebration at the Madame Chang Restaurant on Calle 48 in Marbella on February 3, starting at 7 p.m.

The Club has a list of  monthly activities extending through the year, including  a stunning Lake Gatun exploration cruise with lunch and entertainment, a Royal  Wedding champagne celebration (if you don't know whose getting married on April 29 check into BBC.com) , an exclusive wine tasting soiree, a welcome back for snowbirds,  and a Carols by Candlelight celebration in Casco Viejo. and of course special events for Canada Day and Canadian Thanksgiving.
The Year of the Rabbit feast at the restaurant (hailed by a New York Times critic as the producer of the finest Chinese food in Latin America) will offer four choices for each of three courses, meaning that couples and groups can mix and match the dishes so you could end up sampling 12 dishes. There will also be a vegetarian offering with each course, and if you haven’t sampled tofu from the Madame Change vegetarian menu, this is your opportunity.
The meal  includes a glass of wine (more available on request of course) and finally an offering of Panama’s world famed Geisha coffee. It’s likely that it will be your first taste as most of it goes abroad, with Japan being a big buyer. Last year the coffee sold at over $170 a pound, and this year with a reduced harvest because of the weather, is likely to shoot past that price. So sip while you can. The coffee comes courtesy of Palo Alto, the Chiriqui company, whose regular high quality coffee you will find in your local supermarket.
But wait, there’s more, all CanadaPLUS members will receive a small commemorative gift, and there will be door prizes. It all comes at $30 for members $35 for non members.

The lifetime membership offer is $25 single and $40 for a couple. Sounds like a bargain to me as a couple will save $10 at their first event.
A word of warning, if you are planning to attend the dinner, even if you are already a member, you will need a reservation. For information on membership, or to reserve a table contact clubcanadaplus@gmail.com or call 6619-6890. Be quick, only a few days left.{jathumbnail off}
