Panama heading for human rights court.court

The Inter-American Regional Organization of Workers (ORIT) is taking the Panamanian government to court for what it calls “the massacre” of indigenous workers in the province of Bocas del Toro.
Victor Baez, ORIT representative, confirmed that the case will be taken to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights of the Organization of American States after alleged police violence against workers of the Bocas Fruit Company.

ORIT, which deplored acts of repression in Panama is the American trade union section of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions.
