Panama gets bonus promo from Shorty and Slim

Out and About

While  millions of dollars are spent promoting Panama tourism an expat musical team, Shorty and Slim, have been quietly (well sort of quietly)  doing ther own thing to promote their adoptive home, and maybe achieving more in the long run  than an erstwhile chanting tourism minister.

The duo’s music is a blend of calypso, reggae Latin and rock and roll and has long been familiar to those who like to relax at the Balboa Yacht Club (open to the public and a great place for Canal traffic watching).

In 1992, in a living room in Gamboa the idea of their first feel good music CD first popped up, and Going Down to Panama was born.

Since then they have produced four CD’s and videos, which are listed as Shorty and Slim cult classics. They include live recordings at the Balboa Yacht Cub and  al are available on their own website. Just type in Shorty and Slim

In the meantime check this one out as a sampling of what you will get. If that doesn’t make you feel good,maybe you are living in the wrong country.{jathumbnail off}
