United Airlines will increase the number of flights it offers between Newark Airport in New York City and Tocumen International Airport.

Given the projected demand for the number of seats during the summer season in the Northern Hemisphere, the company will add a second flight on Saturday and Sunday. With the increase, the US airline will have 9 flights a week between Tocumen International and Newark Airport.

The increase in frequencies will take place from June 24 and will be available until the beginning of September, although everything will depend on demand. The increase in the number of seats will also make it possible to meet the increase in demand from Panama to New York City as a result of the school holidays of the educational centers that operate in Panama with the school calendar of the northern hemisphere.

From Newark Airport, United offers connections to 114 international destinations.

The increase does not affect the schedule of two daily flights that the airline maintains to the US city of Houston.

Data from Tocumen S.A. indicate that last April 18,393 passengers traveled from Panama to the city of Houston, while 9,479 did the same to the Newark airport in New York City.

The flights on both frequencies are served with a Boeing B737-900 aircraft with a capacity of 166 seats, of which 16 are in business class.
