Lockdown flouted as virus cases edge 3,000 with 74 deaths
The number of people in Panama who have tested positive with COVID-19 jumped to rose to 2,974, and deaths to 74 on Friday, April 10 reports the Ministry of Health (Minsa) with hundreds still flouting quarantine orders.
Epidemiology Director Lourdes Moreno reported that he accumulated number of tests to detect the virus in the country is 13,648, that is, 1,600 in 24 hours.
Deputy Minister of Health, Luis Sucre, announced that the gradual departure of 2,700 employees from the concession area in Donoso, Coclé province was agreed with the workers and Minera Panamá.
The evacuation would begin with those who are sick with Covid-19, and those with flu symptoms.
