Panama  cases pass 50,000  with 1,000 deaths

Panama reached the alarming figure of 1,000 deaths from COVID-19, on Thursday, July 16 with 18 new deaths decreed in previous 24 hours.

There were  1,130 new cases  bringing the total  number of infections   since March to 50,373

In isolation there are 22,287 people, 21,665 are in the home, 622 in hotels, while  1,244 patients are hospitalized, (1,078 in wards and 166 in intensive care).
