Covid-19 cases rebound 22%

Active cases of   Covid -19 1increased by 21.6% during the rebound seen since last month.

On November 10 there were 18 ,778 active cases in Panama, while on December 9, the number of active cases increased to 22, 843.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) is committed to increasing the number of daily tests and for this it plans to install new swab centers. One in the Roberto Durán gym, another in Panama Norte (Chilibre or Las Cumbres) and also in Panama Oeste and Coclé.

The Ministry of Health reported  on 2,447 new cases and 23 deaths in 24 hours on Thursday, December 10

The margin of beds available to the main hospitals in the country to receive patients with Covid-19 is decreasing, especially in the provinces of Panama and Panama Oeste.

Until yesterday, the Social Security (CSS) had 38% of its beds available throughout the national territory, but in the metropolitan area, that is, Panama and West Panama, the availability is 29%.
