Miracle cure for virus can prove fatal
The National Directorate of Pharmacy and Drugs of the Ministry of Health reiterated the warning about the dangers of the use of Chlorine Dioxide as a treatment for covid-19.
Elvia Lau, director of Pharmacy and Drugs, indicated in a statement that at the international level different drug regulatory authorities have warned about the health risks of the consumption of this drug, called by some as a “miraculous mineral solution.”
She indicated that there is a lack of evidence on its therapeutic utility in the prevention or treatment of Covid-19.
In the statement, Lau lists a list of different international regulatory institutions, such as the FDA, that warn the public not to ingest products that contain chlorine dioxide.
According to Pharmacy and Drugs, the FDA has received reports of people experiencing adverse events after taking a product that contains Chlorine Dioxide. Events include respiratory failure, changes in the electrical activity of the heart, low “fatal” blood pressure, acute liver failure, severe vomiting, and severe diarrhea.
